Permission Requests
Written permission is required to reproduce material from Johns Hopkins University Press publications in other publications, coursepacks, electronic products, or other media.
If you have an alternative format request for a student with a documented disability, please fax your request to 410-516-6968. Please confirm that you have purchased a copy of the book. We will make every effort to provide electronic files if they are available or a copy of the book if it is available for you to convert into the format you need. If we do not have files or copies of the book, we will give you permission to convert the book you purchased into the required format.
If you are requesting permission to reprint or otherwise reproduce material from a Johns Hopkins University Press book or journal, please submit your request directly to the Press using the Reprint Request Form.
Before you submit a permission request, please be sure the material you are requesting belongs to The Johns Hopkins University Press, and is not credited to another source. Credit lines can be found in the footnotes, endnotes, acknowledgments, captions, or on the copyright page. If the material is credited to another source, direct your request to that other party and not to the Press.
Please be aware that other departments at the University publish their own material. For permission, contact those departments directly.
