SEL Studies in English Literature 1500-1900 has put together this collection of milestones and artifacts to illustrate the development of the journal over the past 50 years. Based at Rice Unoversity since its founding and published by the Johns Hopkins University Press, the journal seeks to explore and understand British literature. Each of the four issues each year is devoted to one of four time periods.
