Comparative Technology Transfer and Society is an interdisciplinary, international journal that
links researchers and scholars who share an interest in the process, nature, significance, and
implications of technology transfer. The journal is a forum for analytical and comparative
articles, essays, case-studies, and book reviews on such topics as innovation and research,
intellectual property, entrepreneurship, and products.
CTTS views the dissemination and adoption of innovations—from laboratories to markets and across
institutions and nations—as a complex social process involving people and institutions.
Articles in CTTS consider such issues as the social and ethical implications of technology
transfer, perspectives of non-Western users and consumers, and case studies of technology
transfer failures and successes.
Readers Include:
University technology managers and technology transfer office personnel;
scholars, teachers, and students of: business, management, legal studies, history of technology,
international studies, anthropology, political science, economics, and engineering; government
technology strategists; business executives involved in technology development or transfer;
intellectual property lawyers; international development specialists; and the interested public.
