Preparing and submitting papers

Papers submitted to the ANNALS OF MATHEMATICS can be either compuscripts (done on a computer) or manuscripts (done on a typewriter). Handwritten papers will not be considered.

Compuscripts ideally should be prepared in TEX, LATEX OR AMS-TES; these will be used for production if accepted for publication. A macro package is available for authors to prepare their papers in the Annals of Mathematics style. The Annals macros, style files, and documentation are available via the Annals web site (http://www.math.princeton.edu/~annals/).

Authors who wish to submit their papers electronically should send the TEX file to the Annals e-mail address. Manuscripts prepared by other means must be typed on one side of the page, with double-spaced lines, long formulas displayed and any Greek, German and script letters clearly differentiated from the text.

Proofs

Authors receive only one set of proofs for corrections. Excessive alterations will be charged to the author.

Offprints

Each author receives gratis 10 offprints of his/her article. Joint authors receive 10 each. Additional offprints can he purchased for $325 per 100 copies.
